The Fortnite One Piece mini-season is here, and it might be the most generous update Epic has ever released. Treasure Hunters launched on November 1 with Devil Fruit powers, a pirate island, Straw Hat skins and a hidden treasure that turns the whole Item Shop free for two weeks: the Pirate Shop Token.
In short, this guide covers everything in the new season. You will learn how the Pirate Shop Token works, where to look for it and what you can claim, plus every One Piece skin with its price, the shop schedule, the battle pass, new weapons, map changes and the free outfits you can win in tournaments.
What Is the Fortnite One Piece Mini-Season
Treasure Hunters is a pirate-themed mini-season that closes out Fortnite Chapter 7. It went live with update v43.00 on November 1, 2026, after a short downtime that ended at about 08:12 UTC. The season mixes Fortnite’s own pirate theme with a large crossover with One Piece, the hugely popular anime and manga.
As a result, the island is full of Straw Hat references. You can use Luffy’s Gum-Gum Fruit, swing Zoro’s three swords and fire Usopp’s slingshot, while Luffy, Nami and Usopp skins already sit in the Item Shop. Unsurprisingly, players love it: on launch day, Fortnite reportedly came close to 5 million concurrent players, according to tracking sites.

Fortnite One Piece Season Dates
However, the mini-season is short, so it pays to plan ahead. Here are the key dates so far:
Treasure Hunters key dates
| Date | What happens |
|---|---|
| Nov 1 | Season starts, Luffy, Nami and Usopp in the shop |
| Nov 5 | A$AP Rocky arrives in the shop (evening ET) |
| Nov 6 | Zoro Cup with free outfit rewards |
| Nov 7 | Zoro, Sanji and the Chopper Sidekick arrive |
| Nov 12 | Lil Uzi Vert arrives |
| Nov 13 | Buggy arrives and Buggy Cup takes place |
| Nov 14 | Kasane Teto and Cap’n Hatsune Miku arrive |
| Dec 5 | Chapter 7 end event |
| Dec 15 | Last day to activate the 2026 Pirate Shop Token |
In other words, you have roughly five weeks of Treasure Hunters. Because the Pirate Shop Token has its own deadline in December, the end of the season and the token rules are worth keeping in mind together.
The Pirate Shop Token Explained
The Pirate Shop Token is the biggest surprise of the season, as Push Square reported on launch day. If you find it, you unlock the Pirate Shop, which lets you claim cosmetics from the Item Shop for free during a two-week period that you choose yourself.
Even better, the token is not a one-time deal. It gives you two separate periods of free shopping: one that you activate in 2026 and another one that you can use at any time in 2027. Each period lasts 14 days from the moment you activate it, so in total you get four weeks of a free Item Shop.
Shared with your squadWhen someone in your party opens the chest with the token, every player in the party receives it. That is why playing in a full squad gives you the best chance.
As a result, during an active period, the Item Shop works like a free store. Every eligible cosmetic you claim is added to your locker just like a normal purchase, so you can grab skins, pickaxes, gliders and emotes without spending a single V-Buck.
How to Find the Pirate Shop Token
The token is hidden in special Treasure-Hunt chests in Battle Royale matches during the mini-season. These chests are marked with a skull and crossbones, so they stand out from normal loot.

Unfortunately, Epic has not published the drop rate, and reports describe the token as extremely rare. Still, a few tips improve your chances:
- Play in squads. The token goes to the whole party, so four players searching means four chances for everyone.
- Open every skull chest you see. Named locations and loot-heavy areas usually have the most chests.
- Play on boost days. Epic mentions boosted drops on Mastery Mondays and Treasure Hours Sundays, although it is unclear whether the token is included.
- Keep playing regularly. Since the drop is random, the number of chests you open matters most.
Since there is no guaranteed method, treat the token as a lucky bonus rather than a goal you can farm. Most players will not find it, but those who do get one of the best rewards Fortnite has ever offered.
How to Activate the Pirate Shop
Once the token drops, you then decide when your free period starts. Activation takes only a few seconds:
Activate the Pirate Shop
Timing matters, too. The first period must start by December 15, 2026, while the second can be activated at any time during 2027. Because the shop rotates every day, it makes sense to activate the token when items you really want are available, for example when Zoro and Sanji arrive on November 7.
Claim while items are in the shopThe Pirate Shop only covers what is in the Item Shop during your active 14 days. It does not unlock every item released in the year, so check the daily rotation and claim your favourites before they leave.
What You Can and Cannot Claim
Although the Pirate Shop is generous, it does have a few limits. Here is what is included and what is not:
Pirate Shop rules
| Included | Not included |
|---|---|
| Skins, pickaxes, gliders and emotes sold for V-Bucks | Packs sold for real money |
| Collab items in the shop, including One Piece | Gifting items to friends |
| One copy of each eligible Sidekick | Battle Pass levels |
| Items for every player in your party | A free Fortnite Crew subscription |
In practice, this means the One Piece skins are covered too, as long as they are in the shop while your token is active. For instance, activating it after November 7 would let you claim Luffy, Nami, Usopp, Zoro and Sanji, if they are all in the rotation at the same time.

Special Chests and Free Cosmetics
Besides the token, the skull chests hide other rewards too. According to reports, they also contain rotating cosmetic rewards that change from week to week. In the first week, players found a gold version of the A$AP Rocky outfit, and a Lil Uzi Vert outfit follows after that.
Therefore, even if you never find the Pirate Shop Token, opening special chests can still give you free cosmetics. However, the One Piece skins themselves are not confirmed as chest rewards. To get Luffy and his crew for free, you need the token while they are in the shop, or you can win outfits in the Zoro and Buggy Cups.
Also keep in mind that chest rewards rotate, so a cosmetic you see this week may disappear next week. If you spot a reward you like, it is worth playing a few extra matches while it is available.
Fortnite One Piece Skins and Prices
Otherwise, if you do not find the token, the One Piece cosmetics cost V-Bucks like any other collab. These were the prices when the season launched:
One Piece prices in the Item Shop
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| One Piece Bundle (Luffy, Nami, Usopp and accessories)Best pick | 4,000 V-Bucks |
| Monkey D. Luffy | 1,800 V-Bucks |
| Nami | 1,600 V-Bucks |
| Usopp | 1,600 V-Bucks |
| Going Merry | 1,200 V-Bucks |
| Climate Baton | 500 V-Bucks |
| Tangerines or Usopp’s Kit | 300 V-Bucks each |
| Multi-Punches Flex emote | 300 V-Bucks |
Clearly, the bundle is the best value. Bought separately, its items would cost about 8,200 V-Bucks, so the bundle saves you more than half. Prices for Zoro, Sanji, Chopper and Buggy have not been announced yet, but they are likely to follow a similar range.
Item Shop Schedule
Not everything arrives at once, though. Epic is releasing the season’s cosmetics in waves:
- November 1: Luffy, Nami and Usopp.
- November 5: A$AP Rocky, in the evening Eastern time.
- November 7: Zoro, Sanji and the Chopper Sidekick.
- November 12: Lil Uzi Vert.
- November 13: Buggy.
- November 14: Kasane Teto and Cap’n Hatsune Miku.
If you found the Pirate Shop Token, this schedule also helps you decide when to activate it. Activating around November 7 to 14 covers the most One Piece characters in one go.
Treasure Hunters Battle Pass
The Treasure Hunters battle pass costs 800 V-Bucks, or it comes included with Fortnite Crew at $11.99 a month. It contains 77 rewards, including two One Piece characters: Portgas D. Ace and Nico Robin.
Besides the One Piece pair, the pass also includes Captain X, Commodore Jones, Charlotte Sensei and an anime-style Kawaii Team Leader. Moreover, if you gift the pass to a friend, both of you receive a Dark Kawaii Team Leader outfit style, along with a matching pickaxe and back bling.
Finally, note that the Pirate Shop Token does not cover battle pass levels, so you still need to buy the pass or join Fortnite Crew to unlock its rewards.
Is the pass worth it? For most players, yes. At 800 V-Bucks it costs less than half of a single One Piece skin, yet it includes two One Piece characters plus dozens of other rewards. Moreover, the pass rewards are yours to keep, so you can then focus your remaining V-Bucks on Luffy or the Straw Hat bundle later in the season. Because the mini-season only lasts about five weeks, however, start early so you have enough time to reach the final rewards.
New Fortnite One Piece Weapons and Devil Fruits
Meanwhile, the new weapons are where the One Piece crossover really shines. Epic added several Devil Fruits and signature weapons from the anime:
- Gum-Gum Fruit, which gives you Luffy’s stretchy rubber abilities.
- Flame-Flame Fruit, with fire attacks inspired by Ace.
- Zoro’s Three Sword Style, a close-range melee weapon.
- Usopp’s Slingshot, a long-range trick weapon.
- Shock Rocket, Bundlebuss Repeater Rifle and Gilded Dragoon Shotgun for pirate-style firepower.
- Explosive Cannon Ball, Nami’s Tangerine and Meat on a Stick as new consumables.
On top of that, there is a new Wanted Poster sprite, and players who master 40 sprites earn the Navigator’s Nosedive umbrella. In short, the loot pool feels completely different from the previous season, so expect to experiment with new loadouts.
Crossbones Isle and Map Changes
Similarly, the centrepiece of the new map is Crossbones Isle, a skull-shaped island that fits the pirate theme perfectly. Cannons around the island launch players across it, which makes rotations faster and more chaotic.
Moreover, Crossbones Isle adds several new named locations, and the special skull chests often appear in these busy areas. Therefore, landing there is a good idea if you are hunting for the Pirate Shop Token, although you can expect plenty of competition.
Gold Bars and Vending Machines Removed
Another of the biggest gameplay changes is the economy. Gold Bars have been vaulted, which means services from characters around the map are now free. At the same time, Vending Machines have been removed from Battle Royale, while Pocket-O-Matics stay in Zero Build.
For players, therefore, this is good news. As a result, you no longer need to farm Gold Bars before buying upgrades or hiring help, so matches move faster, and everyone has equal access to services from the start.
Tips for the Fortnite One Piece Season
Treasure Hunters changes enough that a few habits help you get more out of it:
- Try every Devil Fruit. The Gum-Gum and Flame-Flame Fruits change how you move and fight, so practise with them early.
- Use the cannons. They are the fastest way across Crossbones Isle and help you escape the storm.
- Spend nothing on services. With Gold Bars gone, hiring characters is free, so take advantage of it.
- Open every skull chest. Even without the token, rotating cosmetics make them worth the detour.
- Play the Ranked cups. A good result can earn you a One Piece outfit for free.
Above all, enjoy the short season while it lasts. With only five weeks before the Chapter 7 finale, it is worth logging in regularly, especially on boost days.
Fortnite One Piece Cups and Free Outfits
In addition, competitive players can win One Piece outfits without spending anything. Epic is running two special Ranked tournaments:
- Zoro Cup on November 6.
- Buggy Cup on November 13.
Top performers in these cups can earn the matching outfits for free, before or alongside their release in the Item Shop. In addition, Ranked play this season rewards cosmetics such as the AHOY! emoticon, a Par-Rot back bling and a Double-Duty Duelist pickaxe.
Beware of Pirate Shop Scams
Whenever Fortnite adds a rare reward, scammers soon follow. For example, fake offers already claim to sell Pirate Shop Tokens or promise free V-Bucks generators. None of them are real.
The token cannot be boughtThe Pirate Shop Token only drops in-game from skull chests. Nobody can sell it, transfer it or add it to your account. Never give your Epic Games login to anyone who promises a token or free V-Bucks.
The same goes for V-Bucks codes, of course. Buy them only from trusted shops, redeem them only on the official Epic Games website and never share a code before you have redeemed it. Our article on gift card scams in 2026 explains more tricks to avoid.
How to Get V-Bucks Without a Bank Card
If you do not find the Pirate Shop Token, you will need V-Bucks for the One Piece skins and the battle pass. Fortunately, you can buy them without a credit card by using a V-Bucks gift card, which adds V-Bucks straight to your Epic Games account.
Which V-Bucks pack fits what you want
| Pack | Covers |
|---|---|
| 1,000 V-Bucks | Treasure Hunters battle pass (800) |
| 2,800 V-Bucks | Luffy (1,800) or Nami plus Usopp accessories |
| 5,000 V-BucksBest pick | The One Piece Bundle (4,000) with change to spare |
| 13,500 V-Bucks | The bundle, the battle pass and the upcoming Zoro and Sanji skins |
For most players, then, the 5,000 V-Bucks pack is the sweet spot, because it covers the full One Piece Bundle and leaves room for an emote or a pickaxe. Also, redeeming V-Bucks before November 7 means you are ready the moment Zoro and Sanji arrive.
