Apple has just posted the strongest September quarter in its history. The Apple Q4 2026 results show revenue of $114.5 billion, up 12% from a year ago, while Services reached an all-time high of $31.6 billion. In addition, iPhone sales set a new September-quarter record on the back of the iPhone 18 line-up and the new iPhone Duo.
Apple released the numbers on November 2, 2026, for the quarter that ended on September 26. Below, you will find the key figures, what drove them, what Apple expects for the holiday season and, finally, what the results mean for people who use the App Store, iCloud and other Apple services.

Apple Q4 2026 Results in Numbers
First, the headline figures. Revenue rose to $114.5 billion from $102.5 billion a year earlier, and net income climbed to $30.7 billion. Earnings per share reached $2.10, up 14%. Notably, Apple had guided for growth of 9 to 11%, so the final result came in above the top of its own range.
Gross margin also improved to 47.9%, compared with 47.2% a year ago. However, about one percentage point of that came from tariff refunds, so the underlying gain was smaller. The table below shows how each product group performed.
Apple Q4 2026 revenue by segment
| Segment | Revenue | Change vs last year |
|---|---|---|
| iPhoneRecord | $57.6B | Up about 17% |
| Services | $31.6B | Up about 10% |
| Mac | $10.8B | Up about 24% |
| Wearables, Home and Accessories | $8.3B | Down 8% |
| iPad | $6.2B | Down 10% |
Overall, two segments did most of the work. iPhone and Services together brought in more than $89 billion, which is roughly 78% of total revenue for the quarter.
Records in the Apple Q4 2026 Results
Beyond the totals, the quarter set a long list of records. Apple listed several of them in its release:
- Total revenue of $114.5 billion, the best September quarter ever.
- iPhone revenue of $57.6 billion, also a September-quarter record.
- Services revenue of $31.6 billion, the highest of any quarter in Apple history.
- Net income and earnings per share, both records for a September quarter.
- Fiscal year 2026 revenue of about $479 billion, the best full year Apple has reported.
- Installed base of active devices, an all-time high in every major category and region.
Taken together, these records show that Apple is growing on two fronts at once. On one hand, people are buying new hardware again after a slower period. On the other hand, the money they spend after the purchase, on apps, storage and subscriptions, keeps rising every quarter.
This matters for the next few years, too. Hardware sales tend to move in cycles, with big jumps after major redesigns and quieter years in between. Services revenue, by contrast, grows more steadily, because most of it comes from monthly and yearly plans that people keep paying for. That is why investors now watch the Services line almost as closely as the iPhone.
iPhone 18 and iPhone Duo Drive Growth
The iPhone was the clear star of the quarter. Revenue jumped about 17% to $57.6 billion, a record for any September quarter. Because the new models went on sale in September, the quarter only captured the first few weeks of demand, which makes the jump even more striking.
CEO John Ternus pointed to the new line-up as the main driver. Alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple launched the iPhone Duo, which Ternus called the most transformational iPhone since the original. In addition, he highlighted the all-new Siri AI as a reason for people to upgrade.
Strong iPhone sales also matter beyond hardware. Every new iPhone brings another active device into the Apple ecosystem, and that, in turn, feeds the App Store, iCloud and other paid services over the following years.

Services Revenue in the Apple Q4 2026 Results
Services may be the most important line in the Apple Q4 2026 results. Revenue grew about 10% to $31.6 billion, the highest figure Apple has ever reported for this segment. Services covers the App Store, iCloud+, Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade, AppleCare, Apple Pay and advertising.
During the earnings call, CFO Kevan Parekh said the App Store drew close to a billion average weekly visitors. Moreover, paid subscriptions across Apple services reached a new record. As a result, Services is now Apple’s second-biggest business and also its most profitable one.

Still, the segment faced some pressure. Parekh said that headwinds in mobile gaming would continue into the December quarter. He also noted that a US court ruling on link-out payments, which lets apps send users to outside checkout pages, still affects App Store revenue. On top of that, a stronger dollar reduced Services growth.
Mac Grows While iPad and Wearables Slip
Mac was the fastest-growing product group. Revenue climbed about 24% to $10.8 billion, helped by new models and, more recently, the arrival of touch on the Mac. If you missed it, our post on the touchscreen MacBook Pro covers what changes.
On the other hand, iPad revenue fell 10% to $6.2 billion, and Wearables, Home and Accessories dropped 8% to $8.3 billion. Both groups faced tough comparisons with last year. Even so, Apple said a new generation of home hardware is on the way, which could help this segment in the coming quarters.
China and the Installed Base
Greater China was another bright spot. Sales in the region rose about 21%, a strong recovery after several weaker years. Furthermore, Apple confirmed that iOS 27.3 will bring Apple Intelligence to China, so the company expects more growth there.
Apple also said its installed base of active devices reached an all-time high in every major product category and every geographic region. For Services, this number matters a lot, because more active devices usually mean more App Store purchases, more subscriptions and more iCloud storage plans.
What Apple Expects for the Holiday Quarter
Looking ahead, Apple expects total revenue to grow 7 to 10% in the December quarter. According to management, that would make it the best quarter for revenue in the company’s history. Services should grow 8 to 9%, slightly slower than in the September quarter.
Margins, however, will likely shrink. Apple guided for a gross margin of 45 to 46%, citing higher memory costs and the expense of rolling out Siri AI. Operating expenses should land between $20.4 and $20.8 billion.
Memory costs are risingHigher memory chip prices are pushing up costs across the tech industry. Apple has not announced price changes, but it is worth watching device and storage prices over the coming months.
Meanwhile, Apple keeps rewarding shareholders. The company returned all $28 billion of operating cash flow to investors during the quarter. It also declared a dividend of $0.27 per share, payable on November 16.
