Xbox Game Pass has confirmed its first October wave. Between October 8 and 16, nine games join the service, and the headliner is Battlefield 6, which arrives on October 13.
At the same time, nine games leave on October 15, including Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Here’s the full list of arrivals and departures, plus which plan you need to play them.
Every Game Coming to Game Pass
Three games are already available, and the rest roll out over the next week. Most of them land in Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

| October 8 | Echo Weaver | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| October 8 | Forever Ago | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| October 8 | Neon Abyss 2 | Ultimate, PC Game Pass, Premium |
| October 13 | Battlefield 6 | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| October 13 | Deep Dish Dungeon | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| October 13 | Valor Mortis | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| October 15 | Bluey’s Happy Snaps | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| October 15 | Chained Beasts | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| October 16 | Beyond These Stars (PC only) | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
Neon Abyss 2 is the only game in this wave that also lands in Premium. Essential members, by contrast, don’t get any of these titles.
Battlefield 6 Arrives With Season 5
Battlefield 6 joins Game Pass on October 13, the same day its fifth season goes live. That makes it a good moment to jump in, because new players start with a fresh batch of content.
Season 5 takes the fighting to Las Vegas with new maps, weapons and vehicles. It also adds a new Operation, a Halloween event, a server browser and the #REDSEC: Rapid Royale mode.
Critics praised the game’s gunplay and multiplayer when it launched, while the single-player campaign got a cooler reception. So if you mainly play online, Game Pass is an easy way to try it without buying the full game.
To play on launch day, you need Ultimate on console or PC Game Pass on a Windows PC. At $22.99 a month in the US, Ultimate is the plan that covers console, PC and cloud together. Our guide to Xbox Game Pass tiers compares all four plans if you’re not sure which one fits.
Last Chance: 9 Games Leaving October 15
Nine games leave the service on October 15. If one of them is on your list, now is the time to finish it.
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
- A Plague Tale: Requiem
- Pacific Drive
- Evil West
- The Casting of Frank Stone
- Crime Scene Cleaner
- Donut County
- Superball
- Nova Roma (PC, Game Preview)
The biggest loss is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, one of the most praised RPGs of recent years. If you’re midway through it, keep in mind that your saves stay on your account. As a result, you can pick up where you left off if you buy the game later or it returns to Game Pass.
