Rockstar has released the GTA 6 launch trailer, and it arrived much earlier than anyone expected. The roughly 90-second video went live on October 15. That’s about five weeks before the game comes out on November 19.
Launch trailers usually drop a few days before release, so this one is a clear sign that the final marketing push has started. Here’s what the trailer shows, what we know about the launch and how to pre-order.

What the Launch Trailer Shows
The trailer focuses on Jason and Lucia, the game’s two lead characters. Jason is a former soldier who didn’t leave the army on good terms. Lucia calls him from jail, and the two reconnect. Then an easy job goes wrong and pulls them into a criminal conspiracy across the state of Leonida.
Vice City takes centre stage, with neon streets, beaches and plenty of fast cars. Rockstar captured the footage on PlayStation 5. The soundtrack is “Flower in a Hurricane”, a new song by Justice with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Justice also composed the game’s original score.
Release Date, Platforms and Price
GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Digital preloads start on November 12, so you can download the game a week early and play the moment it unlocks.
In the US, the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store list the Standard Edition at $79.99. The Ultimate Edition costs $99.99. Pre-ordering or buying before November 20 also adds the Vintage Vice City Pack, with a classic sedan, a garage and extra outfits for both characters.
PC players will have to wait. Rockstar hasn’t announced a PC version yet, although recent reports point to early 2027.
Pre-Ordering GTA 6 With a Key
A pre-order key is a simple alternative to paying in the console store. You redeem the code on your account now, and the game becomes playable on launch day. On TopGift, the GTA 6 pre-order keys currently cost less than the US store price.
There’s one thing to check first: the key’s region. A Europe key needs a PlayStation or Xbox account set to a European country. The global Xbox key, on the other hand, works on accounts from any region. Our guide to PSN gift card regions explains how account regions work.

If you’d rather buy in the store itself, a 100 USD PlayStation Store card covers the $79.99 Standard Edition on a US account, with room for sales tax.
Either way, the countdown is on. In a little over a month, Vice City finally opens its doors.
