Google Play Fest starts tomorrow, October 13, and runs until October 19. Google calls it “our most rewarding event of the year”, and for a week the Play Store adds discounts in games and apps, extra Play Points on purchases and gaming leagues with points to win.
Here’s what’s included, which dates matter and how to make sure your balance is ready before the deals go live.
Play Fest 2026 Key Dates
Most offers end on October 19 or when supplies run out, so the first days are the safest time to grab them.
| What happens | Date |
|---|---|
| Play Fest starts, league matches begin | October 13 |
| 15x Play Points on book purchases | October 16–18 |
| Most deals and boosters end | October 19 |
| Prize sweepstakes closes (US only) | November 2 |
Google says the event is available in select markets, but it hasn’t published the full country list. So check the Play Store on your phone on October 13 to see which offers appear in your region.
Game and App Deals
For players, the main draw is in-game rewards. Google confirms special offers in MONOPOLY GO! and Pokémon GO, along with exclusive discounts on other apps and games.
Outside gaming, there are limited-time savings on Crunchyroll and Calm annual plans, books and audiobooks under $6, and deals on selected digital gift cards, including Disney.
Play Points Boosters and Prizes
During the event, Play Points members get daily boosters on purchases, so the same top-up earns more points than usual. Play Pass subscribers get even more: early access to deals, double points and 6x boosters.
In the US, members can also swap points for entries into a prize draw. The prizes include a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, a 55-inch Samsung OLED TV, XREAL AURA glasses, a Razer Boomslang 20th Anniversary mouse and an Oscar Piastri replica racing helmet.
Gaming Leagues: Free Fire, 8 Ball Pool and Angry Birds 2
Pre-registration is already open for three leagues: Free Fire, 8 Ball Pool and Angry Birds 2. Matches start on October 13, and each league offers a chance to win up to 50,000 Play Points.
Get Your Google Play Balance Ready
Play Fest deals are paid from your Google Play balance or a linked card. A Google Play gift card tops up the balance without a bank card, and the credit stays on your account after the event too.
The one rule to remember is the region. A Google Play card only works in the country of your Google account, so pick the matching card: the US card for a US account, the UK card for a UK account, or the German, French or Italian card for those countries. For most in-game offers, a 10 or 15 card in your local currency is a good start.
