Battlefield 6 is going full horror for Halloween. The Battlefield 6 Dead Space event starts today, October 20, and turns the new Area 51 map into a base overrun by infected soldiers. It runs until November 7 as part of Season 5.
Area 51 itself arrived on October 13 with the Season 5 launch, alongside the Vegas Strip map. Now, the crossover adds a limited-time co-op mode, themed cosmetics and a famous weapon from the Dead Space series.

What Is Marker Incursion
Marker Incursion is a PvE mode for 16 players. Instead of fighting other squads, you team up against waves of AI-controlled infected soldiers called the Marked.
Your goal is to protect power nodes and destroy the alien Marker before the corruption takes over the map. The setting is an industrial part of Area 51 inspired by the 2023 Dead Space remake.
During matches, you can also pick up Isaac Clarke’s Pulse Rifle, the main hero’s weapon from Dead Space.
Rewards to Unlock
Event challenges unlock themed cosmetics, including:
- Aegis VII Soldier Skin
- RIG-Certified SMG Weapon Package
- Player cards, weapon charms and tags in Dead Space style
ImportantFinish the challenges before November 7. Once the event ends, you can’t unlock these rewards anymore.
What Comes Next in Season 5
