The PlayStation Black Friday 2026 sale is live. From today, November 4, the PlayStation Store cuts prices on thousands of PS5, PS4 and PS VR2 games, with discounts of up to 75%. As a result, this is one of the longest Black Friday sales Sony has run, since it lasts almost the whole month.
Below, you will find the key dates, the games Sony has already confirmed, what we know about PS Plus and hardware deals, and a few simple tips to get the most out of your budget. In addition, we explain how to pay for your games without a bank card.

When the PlayStation Black Friday 2026 Sale Runs
Sony starts the sale at midnight local time in each region, so players in Europe, the Americas and Asia all get the deals on November 4. The promotion then runs until 11:59 p.m. on November 30, which gives you almost four weeks to shop.
However, the sale is not one single block. Sony plans a mid-sale refresh, and some offers end earlier than others. The table below shows every key date.
PlayStation Black Friday 2026 key dates
| Date | What happens |
|---|---|
| Nov 4Live now | Sale starts at midnight local time |
| Nov 16 | New offers arrive and some deals are replaced |
| Nov 20 | Some discounts end at 11:59 p.m. |
| Nov 27 | Black Friday |
| Nov 30 | Sale ends at 11:59 p.m. |
In other words, if a game you want appears in the first wave, it is safer to buy it before November 20. On the other hand, if your favourite game is missing, check again on November 16, because Sony adds new deals that day.
Prices differ by regionSony says discounts may vary by country. A game can be 60% off in one region and 50% off in another, so always check the price in your own PlayStation Store.
Games in the PlayStation Black Friday 2026 Sale
Sony has not published every discount yet, but it has already named a long list of games that take part in the PlayStation Black Friday 2026 sale. The selection mixes this year’s big releases with proven favourites and smaller hits.
Among the 2026 releases, several big names stand out:
- Marvel’s Wolverine Digital Deluxe Edition, Insomniac’s take on the famous X-Men hero.
- SAROS Digital Deluxe Edition, the new action game from Housemarque.
- 007 First Light Deluxe Edition, a fresh origin story for James Bond.
- PRAGMATA Deluxe Edition, Capcom’s sci-fi action adventure.
- SILENT HILL: Townfall, the latest chapter in the horror series.
- Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred, the newest expansion for Blizzard’s action RPG.
- NBA 2K27 and UFC 6 Ultimate Edition for sports fans.
In addition, the sale includes plenty of games that already have a big fan base. ASTRO BOT, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, God of War Ragnarök, Silent Hill 2 and DOOM Eternal are all on the list. Meanwhile, players who prefer smaller or more relaxed games can look at Valheim, Balatro and Stardew Valley.
Sony also highlights a few other titles, such as Mortal Shell II, The Sinking City 2, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Echoes of Aincrad, Beast of Reincarnation and Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition. Because Sony has not shared every percentage, check the store for the exact price before you buy.
Best Picks for Every Type of Player
With thousands of games on sale, it helps to narrow things down. Here is a quick guide to the confirmed games by player type.
PlayStation Black Friday 2026 picks by player type
| Player type | Games to check first |
|---|---|
| Action fansHot pick | Marvel’s Wolverine, SAROS, PRAGMATA |
| Story lovers | Death Stranding 2, God of War Ragnarök, 007 First Light |
| Horror fans | SILENT HILL: Townfall, Silent Hill 2, The Sinking City 2 |
| Families | ASTRO BOT, Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition |
| Sports fans | NBA 2K27, UFC 6 |
| Co-op and relaxed play | Valheim, Stardew Valley, Balatro |
Above all, think about how much time you have. A long RPG at 70% off is only a good deal if you will actually play it. So, pick one or two big games and add a few smaller ones for quieter evenings.
What About PS Plus and PS5 Hardware
So far, Sony has focused on game discounts. Its Black Friday page mentions upcoming PS Plus offers, but Sony has not yet shared the discount size, the tiers or the dates. Therefore, if you plan to renew or upgrade your membership, it makes sense to wait a little longer.
The same applies to hardware. At the time of writing, Sony has not announced Black Friday prices for the PS5, PS5 Digital Edition or PS5 Pro. More hardware and membership deals may appear closer to Black Friday itself on November 27, so keep an eye on the official store and on retailers.
In the meantime, the game sale is already running. If you mainly want new games, there is no reason to wait for hardware news.
How the November 16 Refresh Works
The mid-sale refresh is the part many players miss. On November 16, Sony replaces some of the first-wave offers with new ones. Some games will stay discounted, while others will return to full price and new titles will take their place.
For that reason, a simple strategy works best. First, buy the games you really want from the first wave before November 20. Next, check the store again on November 16 for new additions. Finally, use the last days before November 30 for anything you are still unsure about.
It also helps to note the price of each game on your wishlist before November 16. That way, you can see at a glance whether the refresh made a game cheaper, kept the same price or removed the deal altogether. A quick screenshot of your wishlist is enough.
Should You Buy Now or Wait
Many players wonder whether prices will drop further on Black Friday itself. In practice, the first wave of a long sale often already includes the deepest cuts for many games. Sony has also said that some offers end on November 20, a full week before Black Friday, so waiting can mean missing a deal entirely.
Still, waiting makes sense in a few cases:
- The game is not on sale yet. It may appear in the November 16 refresh.
- You want PS Plus. Sony has not yet revealed its membership offer.
- You plan to buy hardware. Console and accessory deals, if any, will likely come closer to November 27.
For everything else, the simple rule is to buy what you want when the price feels right. After all, a game you play this month is worth more than a slightly bigger discount you might never get.
Tips for the PlayStation Black Friday 2026 Sale
A few habits help you save more and avoid buying the wrong thing:
- Use your wishlist. Add games to your PlayStation Store wishlist, so you can quickly see which ones are on sale.
- Compare editions. A deluxe edition at a deep discount can cost less than the standard edition at full price.
- Check what you already own. Some games may already be in your PS Plus catalogue, so look there before you pay.
- Look at DLC and expansions. The sale also covers add-ons, which is ideal for games you already play.
- Set a budget. Adding funds to your wallet in advance keeps spending under control during a month-long sale.
Moreover, remember that store prices change on refresh day. If you see a great price on a game you want, it is usually better to buy it than to hope for a deeper cut later.
How to Pay With a PSN Gift Card
The easiest way to shop the sale without a bank card is a PSN gift card. You redeem the code on your PlayStation account, and the money goes straight into your PlayStation Store wallet. After that, you can use it for games, DLC and PS Plus.
Just make sure, however, that the card matches the region of your PlayStation account. A card for another country will not work on your account. For more ways to save this month, see our Black Friday 2026 gift card guide.
