Netflix has published its results for the third quarter of 2026. Revenue grew 12% to $12.9 billion, and profit came in above Wall Street’s forecast. Even so, the stock fell about 6% after hours, mainly because Netflix lowered its advertising target for the year.
For subscribers, the more interesting part is what comes next. The Netflix Q3 2026 report confirms that the ad plan will reach 15 more countries, and it lists a busy line-up of live events for the end of the year.

In its Netflix Q3 2026 results, the company reported a profit of $3.66 billion, up 44% from a year earlier. Its advertising business grew by more than 80% this year. However, some new ad tools arrived later than planned, so the company now expects about $2.7 billion in ad revenue for 2026 instead of $3 billion.
Netflix also confirmed staff cuts, which it says will make the company more efficient. Meanwhile, Peter Rice has taken over as chief content officer from Bela Bajaria.
What Changes for Subscribers
There’s no new price increase for now. Netflix says this year’s price changes went smoothly, and fewer members cancelled than a year ago.
Bigger changes arrive in 2027. The cheaper plan with ads will launch in 15 new countries, starting in March with nine countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, plus Colombia, Peru and New Zealand.
